When a tank water heater stops making hot water, the usual causes are a tripped breaker or failed heating element (electric), a pilot or ignition problem (gas), a bad thermostat, or a tank that has reached the end of its life.
Leak under the sink?
Most leaks under a sink come from a loose slip nut on the drain trap, a worn supply line, a failing shut-off valve or the faucet base.
Clogged drain?
A single slow drain is usually hair, soap or grease close to the fixture: try a plunger, a plastic drain snake, or removing and cleaning the stopper or trap.

In North Carolina, plumbing contractors are licensed by the State Board of Examiners of Plumbing, Heating and Fire Sprinkler Contractors. In South Carolina, contractor licensing runs through the Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation (LLR). Prufloop plans to check license and insurance before a plumber can be booked.
