Getting started and what it costs
Is it really free to join?
Yes. No sign-up fee, no monthly fee, no lead charges. You pay 10% of the invoice only on jobs we send, charged when the job is marked done. Jobs from your own customers are always free.
What does it cost after the job?
10% of invoiced work completed, only on jobs we send. When you mark the job done in the app, or the app sees it's finished, we charge that 10% to the card or bank account you keep on file. No minimum, no cap, no monthly fee.
How do I get paid by the customer?
The same way you do today, through your own invoicing and payment tools. Prufloop doesn't hold your customer's money. Our 10% is charged separately to the card or bank account on file.
Where do the customers come from?
More people now ask AI assistants like ChatGPT and Claude to find and book a pro. We put your real prices and open times in front of them, plus property managers, HOAs and real estate agents.
Are the leads shared with other pros?
No. We don't sell leads. Each job goes to the pro who fits it and accepts it.
Can I pick which jobs I get?
Yes. You set the job types you want, your prices, your service area and your hours. Each job pops up on your phone to accept or decline, or you can turn on auto-accept for the ones that match your rules.
Do I have to download another app?
Only if you want ours. It's free, and honestly it's a good one. Otherwise jobs can go straight onto your phone's calendar or the booking app you already use.
Do I have to switch software?
No. Accepted jobs go into Prufloop Pro (our free app), your phone's calendar, or the booking app you already use. Connect Jobber, Housecall Pro, QuickBooks or Square, and we read the invoice so our 10% matches the work you billed.
Do I need a license and insurance?
Insurance, yes. A license wherever your trade or town requires one. We check both during setup.
What if the job changes once I'm there?
Anything outside your posted prices needs a change order the customer approves by text before you do the extra work.
What if a customer says it isn't fixed?
The team reviews it with you, using your photos, the customer's reply and the invoice. That record is what we call Proof of Done.
When does it start?
The pilot launches in Q4 2026 in Mecklenburg, Union, Cabarrus, Iredell, Gaston and Lincoln in NC, plus York and Lancaster in SC. The rest of greater Charlotte and the Carolinas follow in 2027, then the Southeast and Sun Belt. Join now to be set up before jobs go live.

Can I charge a trip fee or a diagnostic fee?
Yes. You set them, customers see them before they book, and you decide whether they come off the repair.
What happens when a drip turns into a repipe?
You send a change order, the customer approves it by text, and then you do the extra work. Nothing outside your posted price happens without that yes.
Can I take only the jobs I like, say water heaters and drains?
Yes. Pick the job types you want and skip the rest. You can change them any time by talking to the app.
Do I need my plumbing license on file?
Yes. We check your license and insurance during setup, so assistants can see you're the real deal.
For HVAC techs
Does my diagnostic fee show up front?
Yes. Customers see your diagnostic fee before they book, and you say whether it comes off the repair.
Do I pay 10% on a full system replacement?
The fee is the same on every job we send: 10% of invoiced work, no minimum and no cap. Your own customers, including maintenance-plan members you already have, are always free.
Summer gets crazy. Can I slow the jobs down?
Yes. Decline what you can't take, or change your hours and job types any time by voice. Jobs only reach you if they fit what you set.
Can I take service calls but skip installs?
Yes. Choose the job types you want, like service calls and tune-ups, and leave the rest off.
For electricians

Do customers see my license?
We check your license and insurance during setup, and assistants can see you're verified before they book.
What if the job needs more than what was booked?
Send a change order. The customer approves it by text before the extra work starts.

Do I need a license?
We check insurance for everyone, and a license only where your trade or town requires one.
I price by the house, not by the hour. Does that work?
Yes. You set your own price for each job type, flat rate or time and materials. The app shows the typical range in your area, but the price is always yours.
It rained. Now what?
Reschedule with the customer like you would today. The new time goes straight onto your calendar.
I do both washing and windows. Do I sign up twice?
No. Pick every service you offer in one sign-up.
Garage doors, appliances, pest control and gutters
My trade isn't live yet. Should I join now?
Yes. Garage doors, appliance repair, pest control and gutters are planned for 2027. Join the waitlist to hold your place. Jobs start when the category opens in your area.
I do pest control. Anything special?
Paid pest work in North Carolina needs a Structural Pest Control license. Have it ready for setup.
What about handyman, locksmith, irrigation or chimney work?
Those open as the platform grows, with no date yet. Join the waitlist and pick them, and we'll reach out when they open.

I'm a one-person shop. Is this for me?
Very much. The free app runs your day: booking page, calendar, reminders, on-my-way texts, route order, job timer, stamped photos and invoicing.
I'm on jobs all day. When would I set this up?
Setup is a voice interview with the app, about 10 minutes for the average pro. Pause any time and pick it back up after work.
What if I can't answer the pop-up right away?
Turn on auto-accept for jobs that match your rules, and they land on your calendar without you lifting a finger.
If you run a small crew
Can jobs go out to my techs?
A dispatch board, live tech map and AI receptionist come with a Prufloop Crew account, $49.99 a month, from September 2027. Until then, accepted jobs go to your calendar or the booking app you already dispatch from.
