Prufloop / Home services / HVAC
AC and heating help around Charlotte, booked by your AI assistant.
Charlotte summers are long and humid, and most homes here run a heat pump or a furnace with central air. Prufloop™ is being built so the AI assistant you already use can book a licensed HVAC tech at a posted diagnostic fee, in a real open slot, with the fix confirmed by you.
Common hvac problems
AC running but not cooling?
When an AC runs but doesn't cool, check the basics first: thermostat set to Cool and below room temperature, a clean air filter, both breakers on (indoor unit and outdoor unit), and the outdoor unit running and clear of debris.
Ice on your AC lines or coil?
Ice on the AC lines or indoor coil usually means not enough warm air is moving across the coil (a dirty filter, closed vents or a blower problem) or the system is low on refrigerant from a leak.
Heat pump not heating?
Heat pumps make air that feels cooler than a furnace's, and in cold weather they run defrost cycles where the outdoor fan stops and the unit steams for a few minutes.
Furnace not turning on or blowing cold air?
When a gas furnace won't heat, check the thermostat mode and batteries, the air filter, the furnace power switch (it looks like a light switch near the unit), that the front panel door is fully closed, and that the gas valve is open.
Thermostat screen blank?
A blank thermostat usually means dead batteries, a tripped breaker for the indoor HVAC unit, or lost low-voltage power.

How booking is planned to work
- Ask. Tell the AI assistant you use what's wrong and when you're free.
- Booked. It books a verified HVAC tech at their posted price, including any trip or diagnostic fee, in a real open slot. You see why that pro was picked; pros can't buy placement.
- Proven. The pro sends photos, the invoice is checked against the posted price, and you confirm it's fixed by text. Anything extra needs your OK first.
