Prufloop / Home services / Electrical

Electrical help around Charlotte, booked by your AI assistant.

Electrical problems are the ones you shouldn't guess at. Prufloop™ is being built so the AI assistant you already use can book a licensed, verified electrician at a posted price, in a real open slot, with the job proven done.

Common electrical problems

Breaker keeps tripping?

A breaker that keeps tripping is protecting the circuit from an overload (too much plugged in), a short circuit, or a ground fault.

Outlet not working?

A dead outlet is very often downstream of a tripped GFCI outlet, the kind with Test and Reset buttons, which can be in a bathroom, kitchen, garage or outside, even in a different room.

Flickering lights?

One flickering light is usually a loose bulb, a worn switch, or an LED bulb that doesn't match the dimmer.

Burning smell from an outlet or switch?

A burning plastic or fishy smell from an outlet, switch or panel can mean wiring is overheating.

Installing a home EV charger: what you need to know

Level 2 home EV charging needs a dedicated 240-volt circuit sized to the charger, enough spare capacity in your electrical panel, and in most places a permit and inspection.

Typical electrical jobs

How booking is planned to work

  1. Ask. Tell the AI assistant you use what's wrong and when you're free.
  2. Booked. It books a verified electrician at their posted price, including any trip or diagnostic fee, in a real open slot. You see why that pro was picked; pros can't buy placement.
  3. Proven. The pro sends photos, the invoice is checked against the posted price, and you confirm it's fixed by text. Anything extra needs your OK first.

Licenses and insurance

In North Carolina, electrical contractors are licensed by the State Board of Examiners of Electrical Contractors. In South Carolina, licensing runs through LLR. Most new circuits, including EV chargers, need a permit and inspection. Prufloop plans to check license and insurance before an electrician can be booked.
